Jody Savage joined First Federal Savings in April 2025 as Vice President of Human Resources. In her role, she supports the people of FFS while helping create a workplace where employees feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and excited about the work they do.
Jody is a graduate of Thomas College with a degree in Criminal Justice and holds both the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications through HRCI. She is also a leadership coach, with a background that includes employee relations, leadership development, compensation and benefits, compliance, workplace culture, and HR strategy.
At the heart of Jody’s approach to HR is a pretty simple belief: people do their best work when they know what’s expected of them, feel supported in doing it, and have opportunities to keep growing.
That means creating an environment where policies and expectations are clear and consistent, employees are treated fairly, great work is recognized, and people feel comfortable asking questions or speaking up. It also means making sure leaders have the tools and support they need to lead well.
Jody’s vision for the employee experience at FFS is to keep building on what makes a community bank such a special place to work. Here, people know each other. Individual contributions matter. There are opportunities to learn new things, take on new challenges, and make a real difference for coworkers, customers, and the communities FFS serves.
Whether someone is considering joining FFS, is brand new to the team, or has been here for years, Jody wants the experience to feel the same at its core: you know what’s expected, you know you have support, and you know the work you do matters.
